Artbugs Batch 1 (April Workshop) Part One

We always begin with a few scribbling exercises.

Scribbling exercises help relax the hand and prepares the junior artist to draw more challenging subject matter.

We introduce the junior artists to color. Oil pastels and felt paper were great materials to allow the kids to have fun while learning basic art techniques.

For the older junior artists, we introduced them to the wonderful medium of pen and ink. It's a challenging medium because there are no erasures involved!

Welcome to the ArtBugs Blog!

Hello, everyone! For those of you who don't already know, ArtBugs is a Workshop comprised of dedicated artists who are very willing to share their knowledge to anyone interested in the arts. For now, as our first ever program, we focused on educating children. Teaching basic techniques for drawing and painting was the primary goal of this summer workshop. We would like to thank Fullybooked for allowing us to hold the art workshop in their Greenbelt 5 branch!
